Michael Eugene Faas Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Faas, age 74, on April 13, 2025. He was born on August 22, 1950, and spent his life in Humble, Texas. Mike dedicated 38 years of his life to the Harris County Sheriff's Department, serving as a Senior Deputy and Firearms Proficiency Control Officer. His passion for law enforcement extended to training thousands of cadets, leaving a lasting impact on the community he loved. Upon his retirement, the gun range was named in his honor and is now known as the Deputy Mike Faas Firearms Complex.

Beyond his career, Michael had a deep appreciation for guns, gemstones, history, and classical music, reflecting a life lived with curiosity and enthusiasm. He shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Josephine Faas, who hails from El Campo, Texas.

Michael is survived by his two daughters: Rachel Drennan and her husband Eric, who blessed him with grandsons Evan and Reid, and Rebecca Gloria and her husband Bobby, who gave him granddaughters Cheyenne and Brooklyn. He is also survived by his siblings: Mary Pfeffer and her husband Ronnie, Pat Faas and his wife Betty, Veronica Marek and her husband Tommy, and Donald Faas.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Faas, his mother, Anna Faas, and his brother, John Faas. Michael will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his commitment to service, and his passions that enriched the lives of those around him.
