Grady Ingle

Grady Lee Ingle, Jr., age 71, passed away January 1, 2022, in Rockport, TX.  Grady was born September 7, 1950, in El Campo, Wharton County, TX. To the late Grady Lee Ingle, Sr. and Edith Bessie (Rod) Ingle.   After graduating from El Campo High School in 1969 Grady attended University of Houston.  After graduation from U of H in 1974 Grady worked at Pine Forest CC in Houston as Finance Manager. He retired from work in 2013.

Grady married Ditter Cook of Houston on June 10, 1976, in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.

Grady’s interests included:

  • Being a member of the Team Penning/Ranch Sorting Committee of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo for over 10 years.
  • Being a fan of the Beatles, especially John Lennon.
  • Being an artist in paint.
  • Being an artist in fiber which included spinning yarn and weaving blankets.   He produced a fiber show in Boerne, TX for spinners and weavers called “Kid’NEwe and Lama’s Too” for over 20 years.

Grady is survived by his spouse, Ditter; and a younger sister, Linda Cox (John) of Rosenberg.   He is also survived by nephews Kelly Sternadel (Rene) and Dean Sternadel (Tisha).

Grady was preceded in death by his parents and older sister Carolyn Sternadel.

A Mass honoring Grady is scheduled for February 5, 5:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Sacred Heart is located at 209 N. Church St., Rockport, TX.

Grady was cremated with interment scheduled for Lamar Cemetery at a later date.  Lamar Cemetery is located at 222 Hagy Dr., Rockport, TX.
