Obituary for Lawrence Ray Roddy

Lawrence Ray Roddy, 73, of El Campo, passed away January 30, 2024. He was born on May 20, 1950 in El Campo to the late Roy and Agnes McKey Roddy. He was a family man and loved being outdoors. He started farming with his dad in Providence City when he was just a boy and retired from farming in 2019. Lawrence was a generous and kind man who often lent a hand to others. He was a lover of the outdoors, ranching, and hunting with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lettilyn Miller Roddy; daughters, Kimberly Clark and husband Bob and Gretchen Seymour and husband Brian; grandchildren, Coyt Clark and Lyla and Gage Seymour and mother-in-law, Hazel Miller, all of El Campo.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, LeeRoy Roddy and Douglas Roddy and wife Linda; sister, Norma Graham; father-in-law, A.G. Miller and brother-in-law, Glen Miller.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. on Monday, February 5 at Triska Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 6 p.m.

Memorial donations in memory of Lawrence may be made to El Campo FFA Booster Club or Houston Hospice – El Campo.
